28 Gym Memes to Help You Get Those Gainz

"Do you even lift, bro?"

It's a question that some people ask insultingly, but real gym bros know is meant to be asked with concern. That's because going to the gym is great for both your physical and mental health, and gym bros just want to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Nothing makes the sadness go away like picking up heavy things and putting them back down again, followed by a quick session of silently comparing your body to everyone else's, (although that last part can make the sadness come back).

At its core, the gym is the most accepting place in the world; anyone and everyone is in the same place at the same time for the same reason, free of judgment, and ready to try their best. Unfortunately, things don't always work out so perfectly in the real world. That's why some people build their own home gyms, as one meme touches on here. But while the convenience of a home gym is unmatched, it takes away the sense of camaraderie you feel when you stand over your bro with your plums dangling over his face while he pushes that metal bar up and down.

If you want the true gym experience, you better be there to hug your sweaty bro when he reps 225 for the first time. God knows it's the most human contact you'll have all year.
